David Taylor, BSc., MSc.
Founded Cirrus in June 2002 as President and CEO and is a director of the company. Holding a masters degree in geophysics, he has extensive international experience gained with BP Exploration (1979 to 1991) in the UK, Netherlands, Egypt, Singapore and Indonesia and Clyde Petroleum (1991 to 1997) in The Netherlands and Indonesia. Following his emigration to Canada in 1997, David held senior positions in international business development for Pinnacle Resources and Vermilion Resources before becoming one of two founding executives for Aventura Energy (1999 to 2002).

Theo Bergers, Managing Director, Cirrus Energy Nederland B.V
Joined Cirrus Energy Netherlands as Managing Director in August 2010. Theo has extensive international and North Sea experience in a variety of technical and senior management roles, most recently as operations manager in Wintershall Libya. Theo started his career in 1975 as a production engineer with Shell in NAM, PDO( Oman ), Brunei and Shell Expro, later moving to Clyde Petroleum in 1990 in the Netherlands. Theo was responsible for the operations and development of the Clyde operated assets. The company was subsequently taken over by Gulf Canada, Conoco Philips and finally by Wintershall in 2002.
Wim Sanders, BSc. Chemical Engineer
Joined Cirrus in May 2007 as Well Engineering/Drilling Manager. Wim has acquired extensive knowledge in production/well services drilling, from 27 years with Pennzoil and Wintershall, where he held a variety of supervisory positions in various countries.
René Borsch, BBA.
Joined Cirrus in September 2008 as Production and Operations Manager. René has extensive experience in offshore operations holding supervisory/management roles with Clyde Petroleum and Wintershall Noordzee BV. He has been involved in numerous platform installations, modifications and start ups in various countries over the last several years. He is currently completing a masters degree in Petroleum and Business Engineering.
Peter Brand, MA, MSc
Joined Cirrus Energy Nederland as Technical Manager in September 2009. He has gained broad petroleum engineering and geoscience experience over 30 years in oil and gas. His previous role was Subsurface Manager (2003-2009) at Helix RDS, where he led a team of 35-40 staff consultants and advised a wide variety of clients. Together with his other previous employers, BP (1988-2003) and Schlumberger (1979-1988), this has given him experience of exploration, development and production in the North Sea, Eastern Europe, North Africa, West Africa, Middle East, Far East and South America.
Perry Young, MSc, MEng
Joined Cirrus Energy Nederland as Commercial Manager in December 2009 having spent most of his career with BP. He spent 9 years as a Petroleum Engineer working in the UK and Kuwait after which he moved into the commercial discipline ultimately working as a Commercial Manager in Azerbaijan. After leaving BP in 2008 he joined Emerald Energy in the UK as the company Technical Manager providing technical guidance to the company’s activities in Colombia and Syria.
Jesper Erik Toth Jensen, MSc in Economics and Business Administration and CIMA
Joined Cirrus Energy Nederland B.V in October 2009 as Finance and Administration Manager. Jesper has a career of almost 20 year experience in business accounting and management of which the last 10 were with Hess Denmark ApS and Hess UK ltd in Copenhagen, Aberdeen and London. He joined Cirrus Energy Nederland B.V from Hess Denmark ApS where he since 2005 held a position as Finance Manager.
